Till the cows come home...

I stumbled upon this cozy family while on a hike in the Odenwald this weekend. I decided to try a little Dale Carnegie on them....

My little visit reminded me of a bull that my Aunt owned....his name was Sunshine and he was all that his name implied. My Aunt rescued Sunshine from a pasture in WV when his mother abandoned him. He was in a serious state and my Aunt nursed this little cow and he thrived. Of course being the worse farmers on Earth... it was stated that he would be sold at auction....no one in my family ever believed it.

Sunshine spent many happy birthdays eating cake and dancing when sung to. He had a wonderful "family" of a pair of horses on my Aunts farm....(which she lovingly calls "Manure Manor)" from which he was never separated.

These little serene faces reminded me of that 2000 lbs baby.

2000 lb baby! Must have been a tough delivery...
Birthday cake and dancing, he lived quite a life.

Hey Laurie,
How's tricks!
Yep, he sure was something. Thought he was the love child of the pair of horses and would scream if he was separated...(by more than a fence, his rack of horns made him dangerous to be along side anyone).

OH good luck with your macro shots. They are fun.

Well, I hope all is well with you and yours,
L
