I realized I was trying to fit too many photos and too much information on one post so I thought Bayeux should be a post of it's own.
As usual, we ended up stopping in Bayeux for dinner on an important night in France. It is the "FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE" or festival of music on 21 June. So there are many photos of bands and different singers in the streets. This is not common in Bayeux, just on this special night. If you are interested you can read more at: http://www.info-france-usa.org/atoz/fet_mus.asp
There is much to see in this city and the people are warm and friendly like all of Normandy. Dale was able to see the Bayeux tapestry which my husband and I visited many years ago. This tapestry which was a gift to Queen Mathilde depicts the 1066 Battle of Hastings and William the Conquerer. Very cool. It is so huge it takes up an entire room.....and then some.
