The Stones...in Frankfurt!!! It really was..."A bigger bang"

After Dale and I hiked from Strahlenberg castle to Shauenberg we returned to find and email from Erick saying we were going to see the Rolling Stones that night in Frankfurt. It took a little while for it all to sink in, but apparently the USO was giving away tickets to people in the US military community and Erick scored us 5 tickets. We took along two German friends of our Helga and Dirk, (you all know them as our Dog whisperers).

From the first to the last action it was a picture perfect concert. After initial panic about a lack of parking we found spots with in minutes along the road outside the stadium. Unanomously we decided even if the cars were towed and cost 200 euro to get out of hock...this was the best option.
We entered the stadium, found our seats minutes before the band took the stage with a HUGE explosion. The name of the tour is "A bigger Bang" and it sure was.

Honestly we were all amazed at the energy those old guys generated. Mick used each inch of the stage and was a blur of constant skipping motion. It was amazing. They did have an ambulance behind the stage and we joked that was their ride back to the hotel. So not needed I am sure. They dude must do an amazing amount of cardio when not on tour.

We left the stadium after one encore, T'shirts in hand and wandered back to where we had left the cars....amazingly they were ticket free and harm free. Drive home was more of a float as we all chattered about how great the concert was....and still in disbelieve we saw it all for free!
