I photographed this kid in Heidelberg today. I have seen him on the main walking zone before but with just the "Free hugs" T-shirt...Now he has a sign translating "free hug" into German. I wonder if this is a college project...a sort of Social study...go to a tourist town, on a highly traffic foot traffic area...give an guy with an honest looking, unassuming face a sign that says "free hugs" and see what transpires. Sadly I have never seen anyone give him a hug. I let him hug Clover....Clover thought it was a nice idea.
My husband's first reaction was, "perfect way to pick pocket someone", my thought is...Wouldn't it just be nice if he was one guy starting a sort of "Hug around the world"? Interesting idea whatever the true story is....Made me think.
How about giving away some "Free Hugs" today in your neighborhood.
