We dragged out our Doggie Cruiser and my bike and we were off. We once again rode to Heidelburg, but decided a nice drink and a small salad would make the day just perfect. I am training Clover to enjoy his wagon for the years to come when he will not be so agile and able to do long treks. So I try my best to make his rides as fun as possible.
Today we stopped by the Neckar and he got a nice long plotch in the water and then we wandered to one of the many river side outdoor cafes here in Ladenburg...Zum Anker. It is located near one of the large locks leading to Heidelberg.
It was an amazing morning...the air was thick with the scent of Lilac and all the while we sipped our drinks...a Cucko bird was singing his song. I always start counting at first thinking I am hearing someone's clock, only to realize it is the actual bird. There is one if you never knew that....sounds JUST like the clock.
After our leisurely lunch avoiding our domestic duties..we rode to a place I saw yesterday on my ride that had fresh HIGH grass....a favorite of Clovers. He loves to hip and hop through the grass playing hide and go seek with me.
From there we rode onto the beach in Ladenburg and he joined in on a game of fetch with two retrievers. THEN...as promised and a reward for his great behavior...we stopped along with a huge tour group for a scoop of ice cream. He was in his glory..the center of all attention eating his own cone.
Then we just rode on back home and he is passed out cold under my chair as we speak.
Hope you and your side kick are getting out for adventures in this weather.

I was really hoping for a photo of Clover eating his ice cream cone with everybody watching him. Sounds like a great day. And house chores can always wait!
Clover has a WAGON?! Now we definitely need a picture of that!
Can I state again, for the record, how freaking jealous I am?
Gorgeous photos, as ever. Did you change something about your post processing? These seem especially crisp.
